In this world, anything of worth does not come easy,

and anything that does has no worth.

Winds of Change.

I use to think I was indestructible,

             I thought I could take on the world.

                   Now I’m weak and fragile,

             and my life becomes unfurled.

         Open to the winds of change,

               being blown around again.

                     But these winds are brutal, strong, and raw,

                  taking everything I have and so much more.

         They will not last forever,

               they will eventually die,

                    after which I will come back,

                 and to the highest of heights I will fly.

         I’ll be stronger, bolder, and will stand up proud,

                 on my own two feet,

       I’ll get there,

I have vowed.

Love, so truly dangerous.

To love a love,

utterly and eternally,

is a love I will always fight for.

But to love a love that no longer loves in return,

is a love to end all love.

For that love,

although meaningful,

powerful,

and real as it may be,

is as dangerous as daring to love in the first place.

I forgive you,

of course I do.

But now I must forget.
